After Dragan Sakic, an ER physician, decides to have a baby with his girlfriend, he retreats into his protective shell when thoughts of his troubled childhood consume him.
But when he is framed for the death of Salt Lake City’s district attorney—a murder he helped uncover—he must confront his demons and plan a murder of his own if he is to bring the killer to justice.
The week that follows surfaces old scars and rips them wide open.
Marcel Stipetic was born in Arvida, Quebec, Canada and learned a few things when he haunted Guelph University and the University of Utah during his youth. He then spent over a decade as a specialist in poison information—first at the Utah Poison Control Center and subsequently at the Central Texas Poison Center.
Marcel is married, has two lovely daughters, and currently lives outside of Athens, Greece, in a quiet summer community (quiet except for his bark-happy Canadian Sheppard and Rottweiler, and his two Lzzy Hale wannabe daughters).
His first novel, Natural Selection, introduces Dragan Sakic, a troubled ER physician who tackles complex poisonings.
